Derby Festé September 2008
To celebrate the opening of the QUAD arts centre on Friday 26th September 2008, the streets of Derby came alive with the Giants of Derby, the giant insects of Spanish street artists Sarruga, Heliosphere and fireworks from Walk the Plank.

In 1980 I came across the work of Simon Read, a photographer using an 'anamorphic' pinhole camera. This simply means that the film is curved, rather than flat, giving curious distorted perspectives. Such effects cannot be achieved with a lens.
