SP-550 UZThis gallery contains pictures of places and events that I have been to. You can use it to "top up" those photos you missed, or events you were unble to attend.
All the photographs prefixed with "DSC" were taken using a Sony DSC-W17 digital compact camera. Those prefixed with the letter P were taken with my Olympus SP-550 UZ Super-Zoom camera.
All the pictures are optimised for 7" x 5" ordering (unless otherwise stated). I have also added an album of high-resolution photographs that are suitable for printing as A2, A3 or A4 posters.

The redevelopment of the Ipswich Dock area was progressing nicely at the date of this album. The album shows the new, the old and the refurbished buildings, as well as views of the yachts/boats etc.

The annual Copdock Bike Show, now held at the Suffolk Showground just outside Ipswich, gets bigger and better every year. Here are some of the varied array of bikes, trikes and micro cars that were on display in 2006.

Previously known as Kessingland Wildlife Park or Suffolk Wildlife Park, this attraction concentrates on the animals of Africa. The park is well spread out with the large animals having plenty of room to roam about.

Banham Zoo in Norfolk has a wide range of animals on display. While not as large as some zoos it is certainly worth a visit. There are many varieties of primates and birds, and you are able to get quite close to many of the enclosures.

Colchester Zoo, at Stanway in Essex has grown in to a large complex. It is always building new enclosures for the animals. Of special mention are the areas for the Elephants, Rhinos and Giraffes.

Images from the charity motorcycle rally in aid of East Anglia's Children's Hospices. Starting and finishing at The Dog, Grundisburgh, the rally took the participants around Suffolk, stopping for refreshments at Lings in Lowestoft on the way.

This Norman keep, 110 feet high, was built c.1140 and has one of the largest Norman arches in England at 28 feet.These photos were taken on a visit with Suffolk Advanced Motorcyclists.

Every Wednesday during the summer, bikes come from all around and park on the village green. The pub serves cold drinks, and burgers/hotdogs, and everybody admires the bikes on display.

Situated on the Suffolk coast these two small villages are very popular with the tourists. These photos were taken while on a walk from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness via the old railway line, then returning along the beach.

The park consists of two areas. The first is a drive through safari with many different animals (lions, tigers, zebras, monkeys etc). The second area is more like a conventional zoo.

Mole Hall Wildlife Park is situted in Widdington, near Saffron Walden. It is home to deer, otters, monkeys and many other animals and birds. There is is also a butterfly house where you are are free to walk about.
