Welcome to Fat-Penguin Photography
Jim Round is a landscpe photographer based in the Yorkshire Dales. Usually seen out and about with Bracken, his Springer Spaniel, Jim has been shooting landscape and natural elements photography for a number of years. With a keen eye for light and composition, his ability to 'catch the moment' means that the viewer can experience the raw beauty of each location for themselves - without leaving their armchair!

Jim's travels take him to locations all over the UK with some of the most stunning scenery on offer. From the Lake District to Scotland, Wales and Northumberland, Jim captures the best of each of these magnificent region's landscapes, mountains and waters

Black & White
There is something to be said about the simplicity of black and white photography and the way in which it can capture the mood of the moment. Raw, gritty and powerful, sometimes there is absolutely no need for colour at all.

In Detail
In stark contrast to Jim's wide landscapes, he also likes to focus in on even the smallest of natural objects. His aim is to photograph the tiniest of detail, be it fauna or flora, that most of us would never even notice.
