This gallery is all about Devon - the landscapes, the light, the flora and the fauna. I moved to Devon just after my 30th birthday. A city dweller by birth, I was surprised to find the countryside such a source of inspiration. I think I bring a fresh eye to photographing this wonderful countryside, and perhaps it is because I was raised in the grey suburban sprawl. My love of art began early, around the age of 12. After I left school, I went on to do a course in graphic design and photography, followed by a BTEC in Art and Design. I then spent eight years working in graphic design, four of those years as a drum-scanner operator. This is where I learned about accurate colour reproduction, something that is now a key part of my work as a photographer. During the past five years, I have made an in-depth study of digital photography and printing. My aim with my work is to show aspects of Devon that visitors rarely see - the winter sunsets, the wildlife, deserted beaches at dawn...
