Ian was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, 6th July 1966 and has had an interest in photography and photographic equipment from his early teens. He has been published, as for example in Northern Woman magazine and had an image on the cover of a novel called Ashley Bay by Rob R Thompson in the US. Ian has also won the BBC, A Digital Picture of Britain competition, Northern Ireland, rural section and the front page of the Belfast calendar for 2009. Ian's enjoyment of photographic art is not limited to his own work as he also takes a great interest and enjoyment from viewing other peoples work and talking to others also interested within the same area.
